Hello. I am new to MyPaint. I would like to install it on a MacBook Pro with Sierra OSX. So far, I have installed Xcode, macports, XQuartz, and MyPaint. When I try to initiate MyPaint in “Terminal” with the command mypaint, I get the following:
ERROR: mypaint: No platform-specific fallback for locating bindtextdomain is known for ‘darwin’
(mypaint:31029): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 12:07:03.684: gdk_cursor_new_for_display: assertion ‘GDK_IS_DISPLAY (display)’ failed
I’m not quite sure how to solve this; I’m also not sure if this is the right sort of question to be directing to MyPaint Community. In any event, I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed. If this is the wrong place to be asking, would you have any advice on where to direct this query? Thank you!
