Straight Lines tool doesn't work with a tablet

Description of the Problem, or Question?

When drawing straight/curved lines or shapes like ellipses it always starts from the edge of the canvas or last spot drawn with the mouse.

Basic System Details

MyPaint version: 2.01

Operating System + Version: Fedora 38, Gnome

Make and Model # of Graphic Tablet: Wacom Intuos

Select the Straight Line tool, try to draw lines.

The straight line, sequence of lines, and elipse tool did not work for me with the Intuos tablet in Wayland, but if I revert back to X11 they do work

when I say dont work, what is actually happening is the when I tap the stylus down for my first point to start the line, it registers that as the end of the line and the start is a random spot on the canvas that doesnt change, all subsequent lines start at that same random spot and end at the spot i first touch the canvas
